Overnight Safari - 1 ½ Day: Tsavo (Ngutuni Game Sanctuary)

 

This is popular tester safari , ideal for those wanting to see some of Kenya’s famous wildlife without missing  too much time from the coast. Great opportunities for seeing Lions Leopard cheaters Buffalos Elephants and many more wildlife.

 

Day 1

 

Drive to Ngutuni lodge situated  in the 10,000 acres Ngutuni game sanctuary adjoining Tsavo East, lunch is followed by an afternoon game drive in the same sanctuary where elephant, zebras lions can bee seen. dinner and overnight at ngutuni lodge.

 

Day 2

 

Ngutuni game sanctuary –Mombasa(140 kms)

Enjoy a morning game drive in the sanctuary. return to the lodge for the breakfast and after breakfast safari returns to Mombasa arriving in the early in the afternoon.

Overnight Safari: 1 &1/2 Days: Shimba Hills

 

Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary offers a superb opportunity to see Kenya's big tuskers and Shimba Hills hold one of the largest areas of coastal rain forest in East Africa.

 

Itinerary:

 

Day 1

 

After breakfast you will be picked from your Beach Hotel and depart to Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary. Upon arrival game drive until lunch in Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary Restaurant. Mwaluganje is a bull area and offers a superb opportunity to see Kenya's big tuskers. Elephants are the big attraction and there are plenty of them. The endemic three million years old cycad palms make Mwaluganje floristically unique. In the afternoon game until late evening. Dinner and overnight at Shimba Hills Lodge.

 

Day 2:

 

Have an early morning game drive in Shimba Hills National Reserve returning to the lodge for a late breakfast. The Shimba Hills hold one of the largest areas of coastal rain forest in East Africa after Arabuko Sokoke. The vegetation consists of forested scarp slopes and undulating grasslands interspersed with woodland clumps and ribbons of riverine forest in the steeply cut valleys. Scenic landscape comprising of hills and valleys extending beyond the reserve boundaries. Main attractions are Sheldricks Falls and Sable antelope. Mid Morning return to Mombasa with drop off at your Beach Hotel in time for lunch.

Overnight Safari - 1 &1/2 Days: Tsavo East Only

 

Day 1.

 

Depart Mombasa at 8.00am Drive along Mombasa-Nairobi highway, you enter Tsavo East through Bachuma gate. Tsavo East is the biggest wildlife sanctuary in Kenya noted for its vast elephant herds and a variety of games including giraffes, buffaloes, zebra and waterbuck. You check in at the Lodge before lunch. After a short rest proceed for an afternoon game drive till late in the evening returning to booked camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2:

 

Before breakfast you have a game drive. Breakfast at the lodge. Later on game drive en-route as you leave the park.. Proceed to Mombasa arriving in the time for lunch.
